Okay, not really. But if you read my previous post you can see where football seems to keep coming up!
This last Friday night was Aimee's first time playing with the marching band for a football game. We live close enough to the school that we were able to walk over and get good seats. The weather was close to perfect and I know David was happy to be going to a football game, even if it was just a high school one (again.. read the previous post!)
It was fun watching the bands during half-time. I have to admit that the bands held my attention far better than the game ever could. The Finneytown band was huge... I'd guess at least double, if not almost triple the size of Northwest's band. They did a great job. Then it was time for Northwest's band to play. They did a fabulous job. It's hard to believe that a group of kids can practice something for only 2 weeks and get it down so well! It was fun watching Aimee play and knowing that she has found an extracurricular activity that she really enjoys. I was never involved in any of the sports or band stuff in high school so this is all new to me, but I'm finding that I really enjoy it! I've always loved to hear Aimee play but it's added a new dimension to see her out there marching too!
Oh.. and the football game wasn't half bad either! Northwest kicked Finneytown's butt with a final score of 31-0! Go Knights!! (David thought it was a fantastic game... almost made up for the game that could have been...)

Yeah for watching football! I'm glad that Aimee enjoys marching band. Congrats on the win.
Wow, Northwest WON. That never happens. That's awesome that she is enjoying it, and that she has something to do, I know that helped me a lot.
