Am I THAT ugly??!!

This is getting ridiculous. I'm getting desperate for someone to get a decent picture of me. Seriously- you would think I'm one of the ugliest people around to see some of the photos of me. I don't know if it's the cameras or the photographers or maybe it really is just me (what?? why didn't anyone ever tell me I was that ugly??!!), but I haven't gotten a single decent picture of myself to use for my profile on here or for anything else. I guess I'm so un-photogenic that it's going to take a professional to make me look good on paper. Dang, that sucks! (And no, this is not an invitation or request to have my picture taken by anyone and everyone- I'd just like my family to get ONE good shot of me!) So don't look for me to post my Christmas photos (or any others)- this is a friendly blog and I don't want to scare anyone.

Ah, Patty, if only the camera could see you the way the rest of us see the real beautiful you!!

I am having a similar problem. I never used to mind having my picture taken, though I was never one to beg for it. But over the past year or so, it seems every picture highlights all the flaws. It makes me cringe from the camera for the first time in my life! Can we blame it on age or something?!? Though I'm sure it's the camera's mid-life crisis, not our own... ;)

Go, David!! Way to support your wife!

Patty, the solution might be to have Aimee do some piknik-ing or computer air brushing to your photos. My current FB pic with Sarah is a good example of how she touched up the coloring just enough...

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not photogenic either. Once my dad said to me, (and my dad is sooooo nice and it was said well-meaning) "maybe if you'd just spend a little more time looking in the mirror, your pictures would turn out better." Scary, when a really nice, well-meaning person who loves you says that. So just take comfort, I'm sure my pictures are worse than yours!!

You are beautiful.
I haven't seen an ugly pic yet. I say post the ones you 'think' are the worst. I am sure everyone would disagree with you!

The camera is not my friend either. I either look like I'm in pain or a zombie and my sister was the one who came up with the zombie description. I agree with chelle it's probably not as bad as you think. You are beautiful!

Hey, I was just reading the other comments, and the pic of you and David was right there on the screen. I LIKE that one - you're both smiling and hugging and obviously having fun. :)

Yeah, David, but are they ones that you can post on a public blog?

(Sorry, Michelle, for embarrassing you once again.)

You are a very beautiful person, Patty. Your countenance shines with the light of Christ, and there is nothing more beautiful than that.
