All I want is some zzzzzz's

We're off to another interesting start this week. Last week David was cleaning the inside of a million gallon tank... in the heat.. with no ventilation, etc. After the first day he decided to switch tactics and get an earlier start. Thus started the days (nights?) of getting up at 3am. And I'm not the type to sleep through his waking up so I've been sleeping in spurts... luckily still enough to get my 8 hours on a couple of the days for the Fitness challenge! Then the job turned into the job from h*** and David had to work a couple of 15-18 hour days. Ugh. So now we're staying up late AND getting up early. I thought this was just for doctors and new parents!
Now this week is starting out in the opposite but similar way. David got a call at 9pm last night and had to head off to take care of a diesel spill at an accident with a fatality. Normally this isn't a problem but for some reason I'm not sleeping anyways so I was up to call him at 1:30, 3:30 and finally at 7:30 this morning! Ugh!! Poor David, though, didn't get home until 3:30 this afternoon. Yep... he's been up and working since 6:30 yesterday morning. Holy cow. I don't know how he does it sometimes. (He says the adrenaline helps, so does caffeine... but neither does much after you hit the 30 hour mark!) So now he's in bed for a few hours before I wake him for dinner (his request... I was willing to let him sleep till tomorrow!) and then we'll see if either of us sleep the whole night through. Sure woud be nice. I know a lot of you can relate. It might help if I wasn't trying so hard to get the full 64 oz. of water every day. I haven't gotten up to pee at night this often since I was pregnant!!
If you want to hear more of my whining you can read my earlier post from today. I've been catching up on blogging while I have the chance!

Awwww! Poor David and Poor You! I hope sweet sleep comes to you soon. I'm sorry it is all so difficult sometimes.

Take care of yourself, girlfriend. (Is it OK to call the RS Pres. "girlfriend"?)
