The Lighter Side

My usual inclination is to try to put something on my blog that will uplift others. I tend to be a rather serious person so I really appreciate the balance that reading other peoples' blogs that aren't quite as serious as my own brings.

A dear friend of mine sent me this yesterday and dared me to post it so... just to let everyone know that I DO have a sense of humor (and a rather off-the-wall one, at that!) here is
a new Turkey Recipe:
Here is a new way to prepare your Thanksgiving Turkey.
1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully.
(see attached picture for details)
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces...

May your stuffing be tasty

May your turkey plump,

May your potatoes and gravy

Have never a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs!

He, he. Can you imagine if someone actually brought the turkey to the table like that? I dare you to do it this year. I'm seriously considering it . . . the look on my sister-in-laws face would be worth it.

Hey, I was planning on doing it--now I can see it wasn't an original idea, so I guess I won't. Ha Ha

That is so funny. Any other ideas? Maybe you could put your initials or give him stripes or something. Oh, I know a tu tu!
